The offer will be worth €135m including bonuses, according to the report, but the 18-year-old wants to stay at AS Monaco who are set make him a contract extension offer until 2020 as soon as he returns from international duty.
AS Monaco have already turned down bids worth €100m and €115m from Real Madrid for the player. Mohamed Bouhafsi confirms that three sides, including Real Madrid, have made bids for Kylian Mbappé, with one of those also being Arsenal, but the identity of the 3rd has not filtered through the transfer window guru.
Zinedine Zidane has made Mbappé his summer transfer window priority. In order to make room for Mbappé, Florentino Perez intends to rid of James Rodriguez and is in concrete discussions with Manchester United and Inter Milan to do so. Real want €70m for the Colombian international but Momo Bouhafsi reckons an agreement could be reached at €55m. PSG are also monitoring James’ situation.
Mbappé, on his part, wants to stay at AS Monaco for another season. He wants to play in the 2018 World Cup in Russia and knows that a departure to a big European club is a risk and that he will be the star man of the Monaco project next season.
Monaco will make an extension offer to the player as soon as he returns from duty with France which will include a gigantic wage rise.
A source close to AS Monaco had the following to say about Mbappé’s situation:
“For the moment the player wants to stay at AS Monaco. The club and Mbappé want to continue the adventure. Discussions will be had when the player returns from international duty about the club’s project with his family. The player has his head on his shoulders and the family is very calm. But it is certain that this will be a saga because three very big European clubs have made offers to the club.”
