According to sources who contacted Get French Football News last night, Marseille goalkeeper Steve Mandanda has been the subject of an offer from Premier League strugglers Aston Villa, in the region £3m.

Mandanda currently has 6 months remaining on his contract with OM and Aston Villa have agreed to include a relegation release clause in any potential contract for the player.

Mandanda has yet to make a decision concerning this offer, but it is believed that the club will take the captain’s wishes into consideration concerning a possible acceptance/rejection of the money on the table.
