‘Science-skeptic’ junior minister for education, Satyapal Singh is at it again. After claiming that Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution was scientifically wrong as no one has seen ape turning into a man, the former IPS officer has now stated that mantras codified the ‘laws of motion’ much before they were framed by Isaac Newton.

The minister made the comment in a meeting of the government’s highest advisory body for policymaking in education, Hindustan Times quoting the minutes of the meeting held on January 15 and 16 reported.
