Doctor Turned IPS Officer Is Treating Polio-Stricken Children & Wife Of Naxal Leader In Chhattisgarh

A doctor turned IPS officer posted in Kondagaon of Bastar region in Chhattisgarh is doing what a doctor should actually do, i.e. helping the needy irrespective of their caste, colour, origin. Despite being an IPS officer, the doctor who did his MBBS from AIIMS looks after the area affected by Maoist activities.

During one of the operations against the naxals, the officer Dr Abhishek Pallava who joined service in 2013 raided Nerwal village to arrest Pohru, the leader of local operating squad of the Bhanpuri area committee of East Bastar Division of the Communist Party of India. The SP barged in his house, but only found his ailing wife and three malnourished children.
