New Japan announced Monday the full line-ups for their post-Dominion tour running from the end of June until the beginning of July, setting the stage for the G1 Climax tournament.
The “Kizuna Road” tour begins this Friday, June 24 and runs through Sunday, July 3 with a big tour-closing show.
Scheduled for July 3 is Shibata vs. Honma for the NEVER Openweight Title.
Plus, Bullet Club’s “Elite” trio of Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks will defend the NEVER Openweight Six-man Tag Titles against Matt Sydal & Ricochet & Satoshi Kojima on July 3.
July 3 will also continue the CHAOS vs. L.I.J. faction warfare with a big eight-man tag elimination match headlined by IWGP World Hvt. champion Kazuchika Okada.
Not included on the tour is New Japan ace Tanahashi, who continues to rest from injury in hopes of making the G1 Climax tournament.
Also not on the tour is IWGP Jr. Hvt. champion KUSHIDA, who is heading to Mexico to tour with CMLL. (PuroresuSpirit Report)
The tour will include the announcement of the G1 tournament field and A/B Block splits. That announcement is scheduled for next Monday, June 27 at Korakuen Hall in Tokyo.
