MOORHEAD, Minn. – The Minnesota State University Moorhead wrestling team will host Augsburg College on Thursday night. The nonconference dual will start at 7 p.m. at Nemzek Fieldhouse in Moorhead, Minn.

It is MSUM’s final home dual before Christmas. The Dragons will face Augsburg in a dual for the first time since Dec. 11, 2013.

About the Dragons
MSUM last competed at the Dragon Open on Sunday afternoon. Senior Blake Bosch (133) was one of three Dragons to win titles, with sophomore Jared Goldsmith (125) and senior Nader Abdullatif (285) also bringing home titles. Sophomore Dylan Connell (149) brought home a second place finish for MSUM. Bosch won the Dragon Open for a third time.
Bosch is the current team leader in wins, with a 13-1 record at 133 pounds Goldsmith has a 10-5 record, while Abdullatif has a 9-5 record on the season. Sophomore Adam Blees is 8-3 at 174 while senior Isaac Novacek is 9-6 at 157. Connell is 8-5 at 149 pounds.
The Dragons have a 1-1 record in duals, with a season-opening loss to crosstown rival Concordia, and a win over Northland Community and Technical College on Nov. 22.
Kris Nelson is in his eighth year as head coach of the Dragons.
About Augsburg
Augsburg is ranked No. 9 in the latest Division III poll. The Auggies went 3-0 at the UW-La Crosse duals on Saturday, beating Cornell (28-9), Loras (26-13) and Olivet (22-19) to improve to 4-0 on the season.
Sophomore Grant Parker is ranked No. 1 in Division III at 157 pounds; he has a 6-2 record. Sophomore Sam Bennyhoff is ranked No. 4 at 133 pounds and is 7-1. Sophomore Alex Wilson is a perfect 8-0 at 149 for the Auggies. Freshman Victor Gliva is 7-1 at 125 while freshman Owen Webster is 7-1 at 184. Sophomore Brady McFarland is 6-2 at 165 for Augsburg.
Jim Mousloff is in his third season as the Augsburg head coach.
