The “suspended” Ronda Rousey is scheduled to wrestle on her first U.S. house show tonight in Anaheim, which is also the building that she headlined the first women’s UFC fight against Liz Carmouche.
John Greene, who wrestled on WCW television as enhancement wrestler Johnny Attitude, passed away on 6/12 at the age of 53. Greene trained at the Power Plant and was living in Port Richey, FL. He was later part of the Tru TV series Micro Championship Wrestling with Hulk Hogan. On the show, he played the role of Johnny G, a smalltime promoter who ran little people wrestling matches, and Hogan supposedly bought the company from him and had him run it. He was still promoting minis wrestling as late as this year.
Josh Barnett explains why he’s leaving UFC but continuing his career.
Jesse White, the son of Leon “Vader” White, talked to talked to TMZ about how DDP, Steve Austin, Mick Foley and Sting were all keeping in contact with Vader of late. He said that Sting and Leon became every close over the last ten months and that the two of them would read the bible together on the phone and tell old stories.
Oney Lorcan suffered a broken orbital bone in his right eye and will be undergoing surgery. That explains why he wasn’t at the TV tapings this past weekend and Danny Burch was working singles matches.
The advances for Monday and Tuesday’s WWE TV’s aren’t strong.

Both Carmella and A.J. Styles, or both the men’s and women’s champion, were off the Smackdown house shows this weekend as they are in Australia to promote the 10/6 show in Melbourne.
Jeff Hardy vs. Shinsuke Nakamura was announced for Smackdown on Tuesday.

I guess we used to always say Jungle Boy was the son of Luke Perry, anyway, Jungle Boy’s father’s third season of Riverdale was confirmed for CW starting on 10/10 in the Wednesday at 8 p.m. time slot. The renewal of the show was announced some time back but the time slot was just announced this past week.

Asia Wrestling Entertainment in Malaysia has announced they will be running monthly shows at the Capita City Mall and Theme Park starting in November. They have a show on 6/30 in Kuala Lumpur with Chris Adonis (Masters) vs. Mihal Burns and Juventud Guerrera vs. Ho Ho Lun.
Underworld Wrestling canceled a 7/20 show in Melbourne, which went head-to-head with a Mick Foley one-man show as well as a Wrestle Rock show in that city. They next run on 8/17.

12th Annual F4W Empire Vegas Convention
Greetings friends and fans of the F4W / Wrestling Observer website. It’s time to announce the details of the 12th annual F4W / Wrestling Observer Empire Las Vegas Convention~!
This year’s event will be taking place in Las Vegas from August 16th to the 20th and will again be in conjunction with WWE’s SummerSlam weekend a.k.a. Super China Buffet Day~! There will still be the usual events, but our big draw will be WWE’s summer blockbuster PPV, SummerSlam. As per tradition, we will all gorge ourselves at a Las Vegas buffet, and then watch SummerSlam in a rented out movie theater. All information and ticketing prices are available now. Sign up ASAP as spots are limited for some events.
This year will also feature a Future Stars Wrestling show which will include the first ever Gladys Gibson Doubles Match Classic! Already booked for the show are the teams Mia Yim & Leva Bates, Lufisto & Shotzi Blackheart, Samantha Heights & Brittany Blake, and Miranda Alize & Kylie Rae. Kris Wolf will also be appearing along with many more future stars. There may even be a classic star or two making an appearance. You won’t want to miss this show!
