MOORHEAD, Minn. — Minnesota State University Moorhead wrestling coach Kris Nelson has announced that Evan Forde has been named an assistant coach for the Dragons.
Forde, a 2011 MSUM graduate and former Dragon wrestler, comes back to his alma mater after serving as an assistant coach at Southwest Minnesota State the past three seasons.
“I am very excited to have Evan Forde join our staff,” Nelson said. “Evan has experience coaching at the college level and has recruited in the region. He has a good idea of the talent that’s available and has many high school and college connections that will help in the recruiting process. I coached Evan in my first two seasons at MSUM and he was a very hard worker in the classroom and on the mat. I know that same hard work will carry over into his coaching.”
