WWE NXT Stars Want In On First Women’s Royal Rumble

It didn’t take long for women from WWE NXT to start expressing their desire to be included in the upcoming WWE Women’s Royal Rumble on January 28th in Philadelphia.
NXT Women’s Champion Ember Moon, Nikki Cross and Billie Kay have already tweeted out interest in the event. An Instagram posted and quickly deleted by former SmackDown Women’s Champ Natalya had a graphic advertisement for the event which included Peyton Royce and Billie Kay, but it’s unclear if this graphic was made by WWE or by a fan.

The NXT roster is going to be in Philadelphia anyway with NXT TakeOver being the night before. Therefore the likelihood we’ll see at least a couple women from NXT show up is pretty good. Then again, MMA’s Horsewomen could always show up at the end with Ronda Rousey winning in quick fashion to set up a WrestleMania 34 encounter with Charlotte Flair because it’s WWE so it’s impossible to predict what they’ll really do. Rousey and even former Divas Champ Nikki Bella also appeared in the Instagram post graphic Natalya later deleted.
But this was a historic announcement from Stephanie McMahon and the women of NXT who are close enough to feel the direct vibrations of this groundbreaking announcement obviously want a chance to play as well.
