WWE Announcing Major Signings this Week, Edwards Update, VanZant

WWE is reportedly in the process of acquiring some major names from the independent wrestling circuit at the moment. Several top stars are believed to be joining the promotion this month. Expect those names to be confirmed soon. A new report from PWInsider says that WWE will be announcing new signees this week. The report mentions that the announcements will likely include Candice LeRae, Ricochet, and War Machine. It was also said that there is absolutely interest in signing Ethan Carter III, but it is unknown if he will be signing with the company at the moment. Expect the announcement confirming these major signings to arrive within days.
It was reported not too long ago that current Impact Wrestling star Eddie Edwards suffered an injury during the most recent set of TV tapings for Impact. Edwards took to Twitter earlier today to update fans on how bad his injury may be. Doctors found that Edwards has multiple broken bones in his face, a black eye, a broken nose, and he has cuts on his face that need to be glued shut soon. Eddie Edwards has competed in multiple wrestling promotions for decades now, and he has been wrestling for Impact ever since 2014. He famously teamed up with Davey Richards for several years, and he also held the TNA World Heavyweight Championship on one occasion.

There have been plenty of athletes from the world of professional wrestling who have transitioned into MMA over the years. Likewise, some UFC fighters have considered making the jump over to pro wrestling lately. Paige VanZant definitely appears to be one of those fighters. During a video from TMZ, VanZant revealed that she would absolutely love to work with WWE one day. She commented on the matter by stating: “Yes. That is definitely something that I’m interested in. I love the WWE. I think that I would for sure be a good WWE Diva. We’ll see if that opportunity comes. I would definitely go for it, if they come knocking on my door, I’m taking it. I love WWE, I would love it. I have the personality for it. Yeah, when the time is right.” With fellow UFC fighter Ronda Rousey rumored to be entering the world of WWE very soon, the timing of this interview is very interesting.
