Rey Mysterio Day to Be Named in San Diego

According to LuchaCentral.com, tomorrow, June 19th will officially be declared Rey Mysterio Day in honor of the former WWE star. A ceremony will take place at the Council Chambers tomorrow morning at 10am to announce the day, which will honor Mysterio in his hometown of San Diego, CA.

In related news, the latest on the Rey Mysterio – WWE front is that talks are ongoing between the two sides, and it’s possible Mysterio could return in time for SummerSlam this year, or possibly in the fall. Most recently, Mysterio worked the NJPW Dominion event and it is unknown if he has plans to return to the promotion anytime soon.
