This last Saturday night, the NXT Universe was treated to a classic that any words typed here would not do justice, when Johnny Gargano challenged NXT Champion Andrade “Cien” Almas for the NXT Championship.

Gargano was last seen left lying at the hands of Tomasso Ciampa after he lost his match to Almas, but the next time he will be seen will be this Friday on the latest episode of E & C’s Pod of Awesomeness. The weekly podcast is hosted by WWE Hall of Famer, Edge, and his real life long time best friend and famed tag team partner, Christian.

Tyler Bate To Compete For The Cruiserweight Championship?

WWE has posted a video in which Tyler Bate states that he had a recent conversation with the yet to be named new General Manager of 205 Live. He says that he was told that he needs to be ready to compete, and it has something to do with the Cruiserweight Championship.

It was revealed last week that a new General Manager would be named for 205 Live after Enzo Amore vacated the championship, and since Tyler Bate has familiarity with Amore’s leftovers, it could be that the UK star has a more permanent spot on the show. Bate recently won the Match of The Year along with WWE United Kingdom Champion at NXT’s Year End Awards.
