To help remind them of their whirlwind Indonesian adventure, Rita Overzat and her two daughters, Ali and Jenna, decided to design some genuine watersnake handbags for themselves. However, after receiving a ton of positive feedback from their friends and retailers back home in New York, the trio made the decision to introduce their creation to the world. In 2007, their handbag collection was launched under the name Beirn (pronounced “burn”), which is the shared middle name of Ali and Jenna.

The brand is known for its signature snakeskin, which is both exotic and extremely affordable. Beirn is also famous for their bright and vibrant colors. Their most well-known style is perhaps the Jenna Hobo, which made an appearance in the Sex and the City movie on Carrie Bradshaw’s shoulder. Since then, Beirn has gone on to add shoes and belts to their selection. Beirn handbags have many celebrity followers including Sarah Jessica Parker and Kate Walsh.
