Number One Contender Match Set For Next Week's WWE RAW

As noted, Rich Swann was suspended by WWE over the weekend following an alleged domestic incident in Florida that resulted in him getting arrested. As a result, WWE was forced to change plans around for Monday night’s RAW on short-notice.

Instead of Swann vs. Drew Gulak in a number one contender match to the WWE Cruiserweight Championship taking place during last night’s RAW as advertised, a “Second Chance Cruiserweight Fatal-4-Way Match” was held.

In the match, which included Cedric Alexander, Mustafa Ali, Tony Nese and Ariya Daivari, Alexander picked up the win after hitting Daivari with the Lumbar Check. Because he won the match on RAW this week, Alexander will now move on to face Gulak in a match to determine the new number one contender to Enzo Amore and the WWE Cruiserweight Championship on next week’s episode of RAW.
