TNA Bound For Glory News: New Champions, Empty Arena & More

– AJ Styles captured the TNA World Championship from Bully Ray in the main event of the show. This followed interference Aces & Eights and TNA president Dixie Carter, who prevented Earl Hebner from counting a pinfall for Styles mid-way through the match .

– Robbie E. & Jessie won the TNA Tag Titles.

– Chris Sabin won the X Division Title in an Ultimate X match.

– Gail Kim won the Knockouts Title.

– Kurt Angle turned down TNA’s Hall of Fame induction, saying that he’s not fit to be in a Hall of Famer after his recent struggles and wants to prove himself again first. Angle lost his return match to Bobby Roode and was almost stretchered out of the arena after the match, before leaving under his own power.

– Magnus defeated Sting.

– Former WWE superstar Derrick Bateman made his debut as Ethan Carter III, winning a squash match set up by his “aunt” Dixie Carter.

– There was no sign of Hulk Hogan on the show, aside from Bully Ray mocking Hogan’s signature poses during the main event.

– San Diego’s Viejas Arena in was alarmingly empty for TNA’s biggest show of the year. Although the crowd looked decent on television, the arena, which holds upto 13,000 people, had only a few thousand fans in attendance. You can click the link below to see just how empty the arena was:
