— As reported earlier, Jackie Gayda was recently contacted by John Laurinaitis about appearing in the 25-Diva Battle Royal at WrestleMania XXV in Houston. Upon answering the phone, the Tough Enough 2 winner was 100% sure he was calling to fire her husband Charlie Haas, but relieved to find out he was offering her a spot at WrestleMania instead.
Laurinaitis gave Gayda a hard sell on the match, but she didn’t act like she was dying to appear in WWE again, which took him by surprise. Gayda said the only way she’d do the match is if she could fly in on the afternoon of the show and fly out immediately after it because she has no intention on spending even one night away from her two kids. Furthermore, Gayda didn’t say yes or no in regards to appearing and left it at that, so her status for the match remains in question.
According to people close to her, Gayda sees wrestling as something in her past as she prefers being a stay-at-home mom. She’s since moved on with her life and has no regrets about leaving wrestling or any interest in coming back.
— WWE officials were said to be really upset over all the reports spilling out online regarding the 25-Diva Battle Royal at WrestleMania before they even announced anything. News started circulating on the match a day or two after they started contacting female performers from the past with the first hint coming from Tammy “Sunny” Sytch through her Facebook page. She then went on a radio show a few days later to talk about how excited she is for the match.
— Candice Michelle posted a blog about her new Go Daddy commercial with NASCAR drivers Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Brad Keselowski.
