WWE’s application to trademark the name “EC3” has been officially abandoned. The company applied for the trademark in June 2019, but in July received a notice of initial refusal with a six-month window that, as of last week, they had not responded to.

The reason for the notice was actually due to EC3 himself filing for the trademark back in 2017, which was accepted shortly before WWE submitted their application.
