As advertised, this week’s all new episode of WWE Friday Night Smackdown saw the long-awaited return of the big red wrestling legend, Kane.

The Knox County Mayor kicked off the show to address the upcoming Royal Rumble pay-per-view, as he has more experience in the annual bout than most men throughout history. The man/demon has spent nearly 3 hours and 40 minutes across 19 Rumble matches, holding the all-time record for most cumulative eliminations at a whopping 44!

As it turns out, Kane’s return was actually a big red ruse – he was working under cover for his old friend Daniel Bryan the entire time!

The Fiend inevitable attempted to attack Kane, emerging through the ring canvas, but the Universal Champion walked right into a trap in the form of a running knee strike from the #1 contender, Daniel Bryan. Wyatt escaped back through the ring, but not before his upcoming challenger snagged a few locks of hair.

Daniel Bryan is set to challenge The Fiend in a Strap Match on Sunday, January 26th at the annual WWE Royal Rumble pay-per-view, taking place at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas.
