Chelsea Green has released a video on her YouTube channel in which she talks about her recent injury in NXT.
That injury came at her first TV appearance for the black and gold brand in a match against Jessie Elaban on March 13. Green was delivering the Codebreaker maneuver to Elaban and the two landed wrong, breaking Chelsea’s left wrist. Green knew that it was broken the moment that it happened but the match was not stopped.
Instead, Chelsea finished the match and went over in the end. Though she’s obviously upset over missing what she hoped would be her post-WrestleMania debut, Chelsea is focused on getting through her six week recovery period. With any luck, she will be back after that recovery is over, better than ever.
Green signed with Vince McMahon’s company in August of 2018 and has spent the majority of her time at WWE’s Performance Center. She made her NXT live debut in October of 2018, using a character that many fans knew from her days in Impact Wrestling. That character, known in Impact as Laurel Van Ness, garnered her the most amount of notoriety she’s enjoyed since her pro wrestling debut in 2014.
