As we noted earlier this week, while speaking with Ariel Helwani in an interview hyping his UFC 225 fight, CM Punk revealed that he had not received any offers to wrestle from pro wrestling promotions. Punk also said he will not completely rule out a possible return to pro wrestling, but indicates it is unlikely to happen.
In a new interview conducted today with Aaron Bronsteter, Punk clarified his comments from the Helwani interview and emphatically stated “I’m done. I’m done. I’m done with professional wrestling”.

“A lot of people would like to be mad at me about that,” Punk continued. “They make fun of me because I lost my first fight, and it’s like ‘that’s fine, you’re entitled to your opinion,’ but you do not own me, and I am entitled to do what I want to do.
“Wrestling is in the rearview mirror. I’ve been trying for five years to put wrestling in the rearview mirror. And some people, they won’t let it go. They, I don’t know, want to live my life for me.”
