Fabián Ruiz joined Paris Saint-Germain from Napoli in the summer transfer window of 2022. Following the initial struggles at the Parisien club, the Spaniard has finally started getting some regular minutes under his belt.
According to the midfielder, Marco Verratti’s guidance has helped him settle in pretty well at the French capital. Speaking ahead of PSG’s Champions League fixture against Maccabi Haifa, Ruiz heaped praise on the Italian, explaining that it was easy to play alongside the former Pescara man. As quoted by L’Équipe, the 26-year-old Spain international said:

“He (Verratti) is a player I already knew, of course. He is a very good player, and he is also an incredible person. He helped me a lot at the beginning. For the first few days, as I was speaking Italian, he helped me as much as he could. It’s very easy to play with him. He has great qualities. We have some great players, and one of them is Marco Verratti.”
Since moving to Paris, Ruiz, who is bound to PSG until June 2027, has made nine appearances in all competitions. Nevertheless, he has played only 24 minutes of football in the Champions League across three appearances thus far.
