After the incidents that took place Sunday evening during Nice vs Marseille, the LFP sent a letter to the Ministries of the Interior, Justice, Education and Youth and Sports, calling the government for help with stadium security issues.
According to information obtained by RMC, Vincent Labrune, the president of the LFP expressed his “concern” about “unacceptable acts” having occurred since the start of the season: “The security of football matches and the management of some supporters are particularly complex matters. In the current conditions, it seems important to me to alert you to express our concern to you and remind you that the powers of the LFP are, after all, quite limited to resolve these problems of violence and public order.”
“It is essential that the troublemakers be sanctioned significantly and, that requires joint action by clubs, bodies, local and national public authorities, but also and above all the authorities.”
