Ligue 1 side FC Nantes have entered into discussions to sign French right-back Frédéric Guilbert from Premier League side Aston Villa, according to our colleagued Mohamed Toubache-TER.

Les Canaris have been seeking an upgrade in the right-back position and have intense interest in the ex-Caen man – for the moment, there is no formal bid on the table, as FCN try to get a sense of what Villa’s demands might be.
