Ligue 1 side Brest have announced the arrival of 27-year-old French central defender Christophe Hérelle from OGC Nice for a reported €4m to €5m fee.
Scottish side Celtic spent a long time attempting to convince the former ESTAC Troyes man to choose them instead, but it was the tag team of Olivier Dall’Oglio and Gregory Lorenzi that convinced him otherwise.
Hérelle has signed a 4-year contract with SB29 and will wear the #23 shirt.
The player fell out with Patrick Vieira after the manager positioned him at right-back from time to time in the 2019/20 campaign. He will be remembered by OGC Nice fans for his otherwise largely excellent displays.
