Speaking in a press conference on Thursday ahead of Friday’s Coupe de France final vs St Étienne, PSG central defender Thiago Silva was keen to praise 31-year-old team-mate Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting.

“He is a friend that I have made here at PSG and a friend who I will keep for the rest of my life. He is a guy who always has a winning mentality, a working mentality, always with a smile on his face. That gives us a desire to help him.”

“With the ball, he really has qualities. Without the ball, he runs for others and makes efforts. It is something that I like a lot about him. He is a friend, but not just on the pitch, off of it too.”
