Check out the Rugby Championship highlights as New Zealand delivered an outstanding performance to defeat Argentina 53-3 in Hamilton on Saturday.
The result was a shot in the arm for the All Blacks, who ran in seven tries against their hapless visitors, and sweet revenge after they suffered a shock 25-18 loss to Los Pumas in Christchurch last week.
Ian Foster’s troops dominated proceedings from the kick off and raced into a 10-0 lead courtesy of a Richie Mo’unga penalty and a converted try from Ethan de Groot. They extended their lead when Caleb Clarke crossed the whitewash midway through the half before Emiliano Boffelli reduced the deficit with a penalty for Argentina.
Commanding half-time lead
The All Blacks finished the half with a flurry when Rieko Ioane scored their third five-pointer which meant they held a deserved 24-3 lead at half-time.
New Zealand drew first blood when Mo’unga added another penalty shortly after the restart before further tries followed from Jordie Barrett and Ardie Savea secured them the result by the 67th minute.
They were not done, however, and added insult to injury for the visitors with five-pointers from Brodie Retallick and Beauden Barrett in the game’s dying moments.
