A Versailles judge has ordered that former French international Djibril Cissé hands over his phone to be analysed be experts as the recently retired footballer is even more heavily considered as a suspect in the Mathieu Valbuena blackmail sextape case.

According to Europe 1, an extract of the infamous sextape has been found on Cissé’s phone and the item will undergo a further analysis to see to what extent the former SC Bastia, Liverpool and Marseille man was in touch with the blackmailers.

Cissé, if found to be complicit in the act of blackmail, faces exactly the same charges as Karim Benzema.

Up until now, Cissé has only been questioned about the matter, that could soon change.
