Pawn shops are full of surprises. We never know what’s going to walk in through our front door. Nothing is more satisfying than watching the expression on a customer’s face when they find a special or unique item they have long given up on finding.

It’s one of the reasons why people love browsing in pawn shops. It’s not an experience you can replicate by browsing through stores at your local mall! And pawn shops cater for all tastes.

This is the fifth post in our series on pawn shop finds where we show some examples of the great items we are fortunate enough to come across in our business.

Shreve & Co. San Francisco Sterling Silver Serving Bowl With Lid

Beautiful previously owned and used Shreve & Co. San Francisco sterling silver large pedestal serving bowl with lid. It’s overall in good physical condition with only minor scuffs or scratches from age.

It carries the SHREVE & CO. monogram on both the lid and side of the bowl and weighs 1380.33 grams (48.69 troy ounces or 3.043 lbs). It stands about 10 inches tall and 12 1/2 inches wide from handle to handle with an almost 8 inches wide opening.

Shreve & Co. has a fascinating background story. The company started as a family business in 1852 during the California gold rush. By the 1860s, they had earned a reputation as the most sought-after silver and goldsmith in America.

Several pieces found their way into the collections of presidents, business tycoons, and prominent families. Many of those currently reside in museums and private collections around the world.

This classy serving bowl from a period where only the finest sterling silver bowls would grace the tables of the rich and famous is available in our Van Nuys pawn shop in Los Angeles and can be yours for only $2,499.

Gent’s Rolex Yacht-Master

Rolex needs no introduction. Since it was founded in the early 1900s by Hans Wilsdorf, Rolex has become synonymous with reliability, quality, and luxury.

Classic Rolex Yacht-Master in Stainless Steel with Platinum Bezel – Year 2003 3/4 Serial #F82****. It has light scratches due to normal wear and tear, and does not come with its original box and papers.

It’s priced at a very reasonable $11,250 and is available in Maxferd’s Lawndale pawn shop in Los Angeles.

Vintage 9k Yellow Gold Fancy Design Ladies Bracelet 7.5” Long

This beautifully designed 9k yellow gold ladies bracelet from the 1960s will make an exciting addition to your fine jewelry collection!

The bracelet is 7.5″ long and comes with a 2″ long thin safety chain. It’s 16mm wide, 3mm thick, and weighs 48.7 grams. It carries a “375” hallmark, meaning it’s 37.5 percent pure gold, or 9 karat gold for short.

This unique, one of a kind bracelet is priced at only $1,600 and is available in our Beverly Hills pawn shop.

14k Yellow Gold Choker Necklace With Natural Emeralds & Diamonds

Stunning choker necklace in 14k yellow gold with natural (not enhanced) emeralds and diamonds.

The center stone is a large green emerald, weighing about 3.80ct. In addition, the necklace contains 8 asscher cut side emeralds weighing about 1.28ct in total, 166 round brilliant cut and 8 baguette diamonds weighing about 4.10ct in total.

The necklace is approximately 14.5” long, 9.8mm wide, weighing 35.0dwt or 54.4 grams. It’s in good condition, but may have some signs of cosmetic wear.

This mesmerizing necklace is a steal for only $12,799 (retail price is $22,000) and is available in our Woodland Hills pawn shop in Los Angeles.

14k Gold Vintage Geometric Design Bangle Bracelet

Beautifully crafted vintage geometric design bangle bracelet in 14k yellow gold.

This amazing wide style geometric longevity symbol bangle bracelet is about 7 1/4”. It’s made from solid 14k yellow gold with a slight patina here and there. The bracelet is 11/16” or 17mm wide and weighs 28.9 grams. Luxury at its best!
