Coach has had a lot of new styles lately. I mean, A LOT! And it seems like a little bit of everything has sprouted up in these most recent additions. The good, the bad… and (yikes!) the ugly. But you know what? I still like Coach and I admire them for their bravery in exploring new things. So I’m not going to focus on the bad stuff, or the ugly stuff for that matter. Nope, I am only going to focus on the good. And that is exactly what I have here! Meet the Coach Kristin Studded Bag!

This lovely piece is the bad girl of the Coach world and it is a stark contrast to the more conservative, original Kristin Pleated Satchel. It has that same great, rounded satchel shape and sophisticated pleats that add all-around softness. But Coach decided to add a touch of toughness to this classic style. Just check out those studs! A mixture of domed and flattened pyramid studs seem to rain down from the top of the bag. Not only do I love the combination of shapes, but I love the varying shades of silver and gunmetal as well. Plus the crackled metallic leather gives this bag just the right amount of sheen. Overall, this bag has managed to balance the tough with the luxe quite nicely. I think it would make a great bag for the fall/winter season, easily fitting in with the hottest of the current trends. But this bag has a degree of practicality to it as well. It is certainly large enough for use as an everyday bag and the optional shoulder strap only further facilitates this. And if you wondering what kind of shoes to wear with this bag, I definitely recommend pairing it with a pair of over-the-knee boots!
