A truck driver turned into a messiah and hero after he rescued 20 children who were trapped inside a jeep on a flood-hit Indora-Kandrori link road in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh.

The children were travelling in a jeep and it got stuck in the strong currents of Chhonchh rivulet at Bain-Attarian in Indora, reported India Today.

The terrified driver fled the panic-stricken children on their own in the ravaging waters.

In the meantime, a tractor driver who was passing by noticed the children trapped inside a vehicle and shifted them to the trolley of his tractor.
