A 35-year-old homeless woman from village Sajvani in district Badwani, Madhya Pradesh is being denied rationunder the Public Distribution System (PDS) for the past four months for not having a toilet in her house.

The woman who lives along with three minor children is managing the house all by herself, as she has separatedfrom her husband. Her one-room shanty is not even her own home, but a place given to her in charity by an elderly villager.
