When I was in grade school I clearly remember wearing Donna Karan clothes, and carrying around her purses. Back then, that was kind of a lot of money to spend on a kid that was only 10-12 years old. I remember my whole entire class being into designer brands. The most popular ones were Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren and Donna Karan.
For my Mom to actually purchase Donna Karan clothes and bags for me, they couldn’t of cost anymore than $100. Today, some of those affordable designer brands are now not so affordable and one of them is Donna Karan.
I came across a bag called the “Crosstown” Flat Hobo on the Saks Fifth Avenue website. It caught my eye because it was different looking. To my surprise it was by Donna Karan and boy did it have a scary price tag.
I loved how the whole entire bag was in black and white. All I wear is black and white, so I knew this bag would go great with my wardrobe. Even the pattern scheme on the bag was stunning. It’s definitely a unique bag, that you’ve never seen before.
The bag was amazing until I saw the price. To me amazement the bag was priced at $795, which I thought was absolutely ridiculous. If I’m going to spend that much money on a bag I would hope it’s made in Paris and has the name Louis Vuitton etched on it somewhere. It’s a gorgeous bag, but definitely not worth the money. This handbag is worth $150 at the most, but of course that’s just my opinion.
