Nevada Democrats Head To Polls For 'First-In-The-West' Caucus

ACROSS NEVADA — Democrats throughout Nevada will head to the polls Saturday for the “first in the west” caucus, a contest that will play a key role in choosing the Democratic candidate who will take on Donald Trump this November.

Nevada marks the most diverse vote so far this year as it follows the New Hampshire primary and Iowa caucuses. At nearly 30 percent Latino and 10 percent African American, in addition to a rapidly growing Asian American population, Nevada’s electorate more closely resembles the demographics of the U.S. and the Democratic party.

Caucus sites open Saturday at 12 p.m. PST.
