On a show that featured fallout from Hell in a Cell, Sami Zayn explained why he saved Kevin Owens at the pay-per-view on last night’s episode of SmackDown.
Zayn said that he tried to be the good guy and do things the right way, but it only brought him to mediocrity. He realized that Shane McMahon never cared about him and never wanted him to get an opportunity when he brushed Zayn off before Hell in a Cell. Zayn said that Owens will always be his brother and Shane only cares about himself.
Also on the show, AJ Styles got his rematch against Baron Corbin as he challenged for the United States Championship in the main event, Randy Orton teamed with Shinsuke Nakamura against Rusev & Aiden English, and a video hyped the return of Luke Harper & Erick Rowan as a tag team.
