FRIDAY’S NEWS UPDATE

 
–Our weekend show will be tomorrow night after the UFC.  I love FOX shows because they end two plus hours earlier than PPV and FS 1 shows.
 
–According to those on the tour, Daniel Bryan looks to have suffered a concussion at the 3/31 Smackdown tapings in the match with Sheamus where he got busted up.  Obviously if he was diagnosed with a concussion he wouldn’t have been in the ring the last few weeks, so if that’s the case, it was something they figured out Tuesday since he was sent home after the show.  But they clearly knew he was hurt because they were protecting him since the Fresno show. 
 
–WWE has produced a Kliq reunion DVD for release on 7/28.  It’s Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Shawn Michaels, Sean Waltman and HHH getting together plus a documentary on the history of the Kliq.
 
–Spike TV just launched in the U.K. and will air a four-hour block tomorrow night with the Bellator British Invasion countdown show at 9 p.m. and the Bellator British Invasion show from 2/27 airing at 10 p.m. (thanks to Matthew Singh-Dosanjh)
 
–TNA has released Seiya Sanada from his contract.  He wants to stay in the U.S. and work.  You can book independent dates on him through @JimmySuzuki1  Releasing Sanada who was a real talent that they had promised to use well tells me the TNA relationship with Wrestle-1 isn’t in good shape.  
 
–The on-sale date for Ringside with Jim Ross on 8/22 in New York at the Gramercy Theater scheduled for today has been moved to Noon on Monday at Ticketmaster.com
 
–A 30 minute documentary on boxers Daniel Jacobs and Anthony Dirrell called “Never Give Up:  A Boxing Survival Story” airs tonight on Spike at 11:30 p.m.  This builds up next Friday’s show on Spike with Jacobs vs. Caleb Truax and Dirrell vs. Badou Jack.  
 
–Mitsuhiro Kitamiya has chosen Super Crazy to be his partner, replacing the injured Takeshi Morishima, in the Global tag team tournament for NOAH that starts Sunday.

–Fox Sports 4 in Australia started a weekly UFC News show last night hosted by Richie Vaculik, Elvis Sinosic and Australian sports broadcaster Tara Rushton.  Vaculik announced he had just signed a new four-fight contract with UFC and is looking to fight in July.  The first guests were Demetrious Johnson, Luke Rockhold and Robert Whitaker.  Show is at
