WWE.com has dropped the last name Samson from The Drifter’s profile, so going forward it appears his name will be only “Elias.” 
Elias has had a noteworthy feud with inaugural WWE Universal Champ Finn Balor in recent weeks, including clubbing Balor over the head with a guitar. The attack left gashes in Balor’s scalp after the match. 
After being somewhat of an afterthought on the NXT brand, Elias seems to be picking up some steam as a heel on Monday Night Raw.
