Colorado Springs, Colo. ~ Five student-wrestlers of the St. Cloud State University wrestling team spent last week (August 18 – 22) at the Olympic Training Center (OTC) in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Gabe Fogarty (Jordan), Chevy Goble (Foley), Austin Goergen (Caledonia) Jay Hildreth (Council Bluffs, Iowa) and Clayton Jennissen (Cambridg) represented SCSU wrestling as they trained alongside the United States Wrestling World Team. The World team is getting ready to compete in the World Championships held in Budapest, Hungary, September 16-22.

“This was one of the best wrestling experiences of my life,” Jennissen said. “To be around the best wrestlers and coaches in the world is an eye opening experience. I really improved from this experience.”

Over eighty of the best post and current collegiate wrestlers were involved in the training including 2012 Olympic Champion Jordan Burroughs. Olympic coach, Zeke Jones, led all training sessions which included skill improvement, strategies and new technique.
