The #3 St. Cloud State wrestling team (2-0, 0-0 NSIC) will open the 2012-13 NSIC season on Dec. 15 with a 2 p.m. match in Halenbeck Hall against Minot State (1-1, 0-1 NSIC).

The match has been designated as SCSU Youth Day and all youth (grades K-12) will be admitted to the match for just $1. Tickets for the match may be purchased at the gate on the day of the match.

SCSU is fresh from dual match wins over Concordia and St. John’s this week and the Huskies have won 28 consecutive dual matches dating back to the 2010-11 season. SCSU senior #3 Shamus O’Grady (185) and freshman Clint Poster (157) lead the Huskies this season with 13-1 records. SCSU’s other nationally ranked wrestler who has wrestled this semester is senior Jacob Kahnke, who is ranked #2 at 285-pounds.
