Backstage News On Kevin Owens Missing WWE Live Events, Big Update on WWE Fastlane Main Event, Top Name Appearing

On Sunday, March 11th, WWE will be holding the 2018 Fastlane PPV in Columbus Ohio at the Nationwide Arena. We previously reported that a big Fatal Five Way match was rumored to headline the event, and that now seems more definite as the Nationwide Arena has issued the above video hyping the match, which will feature AJ Styles defending the WWE Title against Sami Zayn, Shinsuke Nakamura, Randy Orton and Kevin Owens.

The video also hypes a “special appearance” by John Cena, who is rumored to be facing The Undertaker at WrestleMania 34.

Backstage News On Kevin Owens Missing Live Events

As noted, WWE Smackdown Live star Kevin Owens was off this past weekend’s WWE live events, despite being advertised to headline the events.

According to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Owens was backstage for the events, but he is currently dealing with a nagging injury which kept him out of the ring. The injury is said not to be serious and is something that “comes and goes”, but it was enough to keep him sidelined over the weekend. As of this writing, Owens will still team up with Sami Zayn to face AJ Styles for the WWE Title at Royal Rumble.
