WWE Provides Injury Updates on Arturo Ruas, Kona Reeves & Velveteen Dream

WWE has provided updates on Kona Reeves, Arturo Ruas, and the Velveteen Dream following this Wednesday night’s live NXT television debut on the USA Network, where all three Superstars suffered injuries. Maybe…?

Reeves reportedly required five stitches in his cheek after an errant elbow from Damien Priest caught him during a springboard senton. The two wrestled a dark match before the show went on the air. WWE is also saying he may have “orbital bone damage” and is currently not cleared to compete, pending a complete medical examination.

The video also states that Arturo Ruas, who re-debuted against Pete Dunne on Wednesday, is getting x-rays on his fingers after facing Pete Dunne. Velveteen Dream is also on the “injured list” as the report claims he was walking gingerly backstage and experiencing lumbar pain.

While Reeves really did suffer a laceration and require stiches, Ruas is believed to be fine as that is most likely storyline injury. We have reached out for confirmation on Dream, and will report back when more is known.
