It appears as if Apollo Crews has his in-ring surname back, as his current WWE.com profile is once again listing the Titus Worldwide member as “Apollo Crews”.
We noted a while back that WWE decided to drop Crews’ last name, and speculation was because Vince McMahon wanted to distance WWE from the name Cruz following the Parkland, FL high school shootings.
While WWE did not deny that was the reason for the name drop, the company claimed they never released any communication citing the reason for the name change. WWE reportedly did not want the information going public.
It remains to be seen if Apollo will be addressed by his full name on WWE TV, but we will keep you posted.
