L’Équipe report this afternoon that Paris Saint-Germain have hired three new scouts, chosen by sporting advisor Luís Campos in order to bolster the existing team.
The new arrivals will be tasked with finding potential new signings for the first team, as well as keeping an eye out for the best promising talents in the world, as Campos looks to continue on from the success he had at both Lille and Monaco in bringing through young players.
Campos arrived at Paris Saint-Germain in the wake of the departure of former sporting director Leonardo, as well as the contract extension of Kylian Mbappé, with whom the Portuguese director has enjoyed a good relationship since their Monaco days.
This summer, he has worked with another one of the Ligue 1 champions’ former sporting directors in Antero Henrique on the club’s transfer window. Several promising young players were brought in – Vitinha, Hugo Ekitike – as well as more established squad players such as Nordi Mukiele or Fabián Ruiz. However, the lack of significant outgoings is said to have been a source of tension between the two.
