Torino make €5m offer for Lorient’s Armand Laurienté

L’Équipe report this afternoon that Torino have made an offer for Lorient forward Armand Laurienté, with the Frenchman also being the subject of interest from other clubs on the other side of the Alps.

The Italians have made a €5m offer for the Frenchman, formerly of Rennes, whilst Sassuolo have made an enquiry and Napoli are also interested, albeit to a lesser degree than their fellow Serie A sides.

This season, the striker made 35 appearances for Les Merlus, scoring six goals and setting up another two. Overall, the former French youth international has 12 goals and 22 assists in his time with the Bretons, having joined in 2019.

Lorient have set their asking price at €8m, while the Turin side have offered €5m plus bonuses. The 23-year-old joined from Rennes for €3m, and helped his team beat the drop this year.

Laurienté could see himself either move to Il Toro to replace Josip Brekalo, or to Emilia-Romagna amid the probable departures of Gianluca Scamacca and Domenico Berardi from the Neroverdi.
