Mamadou Sakho: “I am happy at Crystal Palace, but in life you never know what will happen tomorrow.”

Speaking in an interview with Téléfoot, Crystal Palace central defender Mamadou Sakho discussed his fitness, ambitions with the French national team, his future at Crystal Palace and more.

On his injury:

I was lucky enough to have my meniscus fully repaired. If everything goes as planned, in mid-June I will be back to play, and in July the lion will be back.

On his future:

I am enjoying myself (at Crystal Palace), but in life you never know what will happen tomorrow.

On his ambitions with the French national team:

I am not especially thinking about EURO 2020 but everyone who knows me knows that I am ambitious. The best thing for a player is to start in Ligue 2, Ligue 1, then the Champions’ League and the national team. If I am recalled that will mean that I am being through of.

On PSG:

Paris is my home, it always will be I believe in PSG and the Champions’ League, like many others. I do not have any regrets in my life and in my career, apart from that my father never got the chance to see what I have been able to accomplish.
