Premier League side Sunderland have approached 27 year-old winger Romain Alessandrini’s entourage about a possible transfer deadline day move from Marseille, according to our colleagues at Foot Mercato.

The Black Cats have only made an enquiry at this stage about how much Marseille would require in order to part with the player. This does not mean that Sunderland will make an offer.

In addition, according to TMW, Serie A side Atalanta have made an approach to sign the 27 year old midfielder.
