Billy Gunn Talks AEW, NXT Callups Update, Funniest Eliminations

All Elite Wrestling already has an incredibly talented roster loaded with performers such as Chris Jericho, Joey Janela, PAC, and of course, the members of The Elite. However, it was also announced not too long ago that wrestling veteran Billy Gunn has signed on with the promotion as an backstage producer. Gunn has since appeared on Busted Open Radio to talk about his brand new role with the upstart promotion. Billy noted during the interview that he is only signed on as a producer for the time being. However, he is open to the idea of wrestling for All Elite Wrestling if he is ever called on to do so. Gunn has a ton of knowledge about the business and is still active today, so his wisdom should be appreciated in AEW.
“I work for everywhere else; I might as well [wrestle] for the company that I work for. I wish I could answer that. I really don’t know because, like I said, this literally just happened this week. We’re still in the process of trying to get it together, so as soon as I know more, I’ll be able to speak on that a little bit more.” Gunn said.
On WWE television lately, video packages hyping up the arrival of six NXT talents to the main roster have been airing. Most of the six wrestlers involved have competed in dark matches prior to main roster shows, but none of them have been their official TV debuts yet. However, that is expected to change very soon now. According to Cageside Seats, Heavy Machinery, Nikki Cross, Lacey Evans, and EC3 will be backstage for Raw and SmackDown this week. This does not confirm that they’ll be debuting on TV, but it does certainly seem like a possibility. The status of Lars Sullivan for this week’s shows is unknown at the moment. These new faces could be arriving as soon as tonight’s Raw or tomorrow’s SmackDown show.
